Malayalam Classes for Beginners
New to Malayalam? Akshharam's Harishree Sessions are a beginner Malayalam learning class online, made for kids who are just starting out with the language. Whether your child is learning to recognise Malayalam letters for the first time or already knows a few words, this is where to learn Malayalam for beginners, building skills step by step from the alphabet to basic reading and simple writing.
Homework
In addition to the classwork we highly recommend a few mins of home practice to
make the learning more effective.
Regular assessments in the classes
Sets small but achievable goals at regular intervals which helps assessing the
learning
gaps and take corrective measures to address the gaps.

Akshharam's Harishree Sessions are for children between 5 and 12
years' old who are new to the language. As an online Malayalam learning
school, Akshharam helps families living outside Kerala keep
their children connected to Malayalam.
No prior knowledge is required. Harishree Sessions are ideal for
children who are beginning to learn Malayalam. These beginner
Malayalam classes are also suitable for children who can understand
a few Malayalam words or phrases but are not yet able to read or
write the language.
In these classes, children learn Malayalam letters, sounds, and
simple words step by step. The programme focuses on Malayalam
reading for beginners and helps learners recognise letters,
understand sounds, and write simple words independently.
Harishree Sessions include worksheets and activities that encourage
regular practice outside the classroom. Any additional learning
resources are shared by the Akshharam team.
Harishree Sessions include regular activities and assessments to
track each learner's progress in reading and writing Malayalam.
Teachers identify areas that need more practice and provide guidance
to help each child improve. Once a child completes Harishree
Sessions, they're ready to move on to our Vaayanashaala Sessions for
further reading and writing fluency.
